Why the difference?

The LCH color space covers all colors visible to the human eye, while sRGB (standard RGB) only covers about 35% of those colors.

When a LCH color is outside the RGB gamut, browsers will "clamp" it to the nearest representable RGB color, losing the vibrancy and accuracy of the original color.
